To use your calculator on a particular course you first need to calibrate it to the course map that’s usually provided on the back of the scorecard.

CALIBRATION

A: Measure any straight hole from the tee-off to the centre of the green (e.g hole 3, 2.5cm). 

B: Find this number on the scale printed on the sliding card and align it to the real total distance (known from the score card, e.g. 170m).

In this position your RoughCard calculator is calibrated to the course map and any desired distance is automatically calculated.

USE

Want to know the real distance from the tee-off to the elbow on hole 7? Simply measure the map distance (e.g. 2.0cm), find this number on the scale below and read off the corresponding real distance (e.g. 135-138m).
